February Updates

Good Morning everyone! Thought I'd give you some updates real quick before the month is over, seeing as I haven't posted anything all month.

So I've finally completed a very polished rough draft of my first feature script. "TWELVE" is based on the short story M.O.M. - The Manipulation of Man, that I wrote back in 2007.

Original Poster for the short, created by Artist Pete Hernandez.
The story has grown immensely and I am very proud with the results. It tells the story of one family journey's, the love, pain, heartache and loss that they go through, what all families endure in some way or another. It's a psychological thriller, it's brutal, it's complex and I am very eager to show it to the world. My next step now is to lock down some financing for it, at 90 pages and with multiple locations I will need it. I have actors already in mind for the roles, so I'm hoping for the best. Who knows, this time next year I may already be shooting, or even cutting the film.

My next short "Ghost Story" is currently in pre-production. I just had the auditions this past Saturday and well.....let's just say it was a learning experience. I had hoped for something, but in return got nothing, literally. It happens, you just keep moving forward and in the process you figure out those folks you want to deal with and the ones you don't, if that makes any sense. Besides this is why I had a plan B, you always need a plan B, always. Once everything is confirmed I will announce my lead for the role of "GUS". As for a start date, I'm hoping for sometime in April or May. More on that in the coming weeks though.

In between everything I managed to collaborate on a script with a good friend of mine. I'm not making any official announcements as of yet though. It's at about 32 pages, it will be shot on the fly and with little to no lighting set-ups. Should be interesting to see the outcome, the script is great, it's a comedy, plus the two styles coming together on this should mix well. More on that as well soon.

That's about all for now, still writing ( I currently have about 3 other short scripts ready to go, and one still being developed) so this year should be a very busy one, I hope. Until Next Time......Peace.
